Different people have different preferences and whether this keyboard works for an individual is best tested out in person. makes it difficult for me to love this keyboard. To anyone considering this model, I'd recommend they go to their local store and check it out before deciding. If this is not possible, I have uploaded a picture here (under customer images) to illustrate the contrast issues this keyboard has. With close to 200 reviews here, I will keep it short and to the point:PROS:- Very quiet operation, probably the quietest keyboard I've ever had- Feels very comfortable to type with, keys have good resistance, not too easily depressed- Tons of programmable keys- Wireless operation working well, no delays- Compact size- Hefty weight (due to 4 AA batteries) keeps keyboard in place- Love the contoured mouseCONS:- Lettering on the keys not very contrast-rich, hard to see in lower lighting conditions- Symbols/lettering on some keys very small and therefore also hard to read - Display not backlit, hard to read, tedious to program- Size of keys underneath the display is very small- Dynamic Search and Zoom function oddly placed, prone to be activated accidentally- F keys spread out with a huge gap between F8 and F9, and not full sizeSUMMARY:Having used Logitech keyboards for years and having switched from the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Set to this one, I'd say that this keyboard is very good when it comes to comfort - the feel of the keys, the quiet operations, all this is great. But the practical issues with the low contrast of the lettering, the hard to see small keys, the budget display, etc.
Once you get used to it though, it seems nicer to me. I find the layout of the media/shortcut keys on the keyboard somewhat inconvienent. I upgraded from a microsoft wireless keyboard & mouse because the range was horrible, and i use my pc as a htpc from the couch. An issue arises when I'm going back and forth every day from my work keyboard to my home keyboard.Media buttons on the top are small, and it can be hard to hit the right one, let alone hit them at all. Over all the Keyboard is ok.The mouse is wonderful and I love everything about it. This logitech is much better for range, but not as good as older logitech keyboards, the range is only about 10-15 feet for good reception. The keyboard is sensitive, which takes awhile to get used to.
I don't regret this purchase at all. This keyboard works perfectly - and then some - for my needs. Plus, it is very comfortable and so easy to use (feel) that I barely ever use my Touch Screen capability at all.
My new computer is a TouchSmart so doesn't really even need a keyboard. So, I ordered this Logitech. This product met my needs exactly.
The wireless part is so neat.makes for much less wire clutter around my work area. In fact, I don't know what I'd do without this particular Logitec keyboard. However, it came with one that is small and very flat and smooth.
Instead, I wanted a keyboard with large keys where each one is easily felt and distinguishable from all the other keys.
Response time is immediate, and never is it sluggish. This keyboard, mouse duo is second to none.
